Just wanted to thank you all for being so wonderful and encouraging about my weight battle and running. It's really great to be able to share these things with my running community! Thank you again. I can't believe I weighed that much and I will NEVER go there ever again. Still, it scares me from time to time when I'm up in weight as I am right now. If you look to the sidebar of my blog, you can see me 2 months ago at the SFM where I was 10 lbs lighter. And here are my most recent photos from the Nike Women's Marathon. You can see, 10 lbs on my frame is quite a bit. I'm only 5'3".
Not a great shot but not bad... Probably the best one out of the set. Not sure what I'm thinking with the victory sign...
Having another Japanese tourist moment here... Minus the smile. I was in pain!
A little dazed and confused. And tired. Very tired.
A little dazed and confused. And tired. Very tired.
A ha, I found the SFFD fire fighters and the Tiffany boxes!
AND, best of luck to everyone racing this weekend!!! Best of luck to:
Marci and Laura at the Niaga Falls Marathon
Alisa, Aron and Kristen at the Healdsburg Half Marathon (with I was there!)
Erik at the Tulsa Run 15k
Mrjwhit at the Silver Comet Half Marathon
Frayed Laces at the Niketown 30k
Jennifer B at the Medical Center 10k AND 5 k Classic (yep, she's doing both back to back)
Did I miss anyone? Let me know! :-)
Congratulations on your marathon!!! (I don't think I ever said that!)
ReplyDeleteAlso - thank you for the shout out! And yes I am CRAZY!!!
Great pics and I think you look great!
ReplyDeleteYou got great pics! I only have a couple. By the way, I totally stalked you by mile 6! I saw the Jamba Juice shirt so I thought it was you, and I ran closer but still couldn't tell, and didn't want to look like a freak if I yelled "Julianne!" and it wasn't you :P But I'm pretty sure I remembered seeing your sport bottle ... hahaha
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, you look great!!!
I love the look on your face as you're reaching for the Tiffany's box! That's priceless.
ReplyDeleteI only got one crummy photo -- almost half of me is cut off and I'm technically in the background of someone else's photo! bleh.
Congrats! You looked great!!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures, and yes check back for the competition!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. The last one is so fun, you look so happy! All my pictures are serious and awful.
ReplyDeletei like your pictures and i think you look great! :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats! The pic of your reaching for the necklace is too cute:-)
ReplyDeleteYou really do look great in all of the pictures, and I still can't believe you did a marathon with no marathon training!!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it amazing what a few extra pounds will do to you self-confidence and appearance, though? I just put a pic on the sidebar of my weblog from when I was probably about 20 pounds more than I am now. Do I look like a different person? Nope. But do I feel and look better at a healthy weight? Absolutely!
look at all the pretty pics!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! Give yourself a break, you went through a honeymoon and wedding, I definitely gained weight on that honeymoon period!! and you are training for CIM so you'll be fine!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought you looked strong and like you where having a good time. That's what it is all about. Congrats again!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! I CANNOT get a decent one for the life of me.
ReplyDeleteAwesome pics you look great! I would totally be running toward the firefighter with the tiffany boxes too. You went from being exhausted to smiling ear to ear! Its funny what that blue little box can do to a girl :)
ReplyDeleteGreat pics and congratulations! You sure look much happier than I did.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics!! I love the one at the end where you're walking to the firemen! LOL!
ReplyDeleteLove the pics :)
ReplyDeleteJulianne,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much!!! You are so generous and kind and I appreciate it greatly! : )
Woohoo! Congrats!!!! Great pics as well! One of my "professional" pics has me sticking out my tongue. It's a keeper! :-)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great run!
ReplyDeleteYou look fantastic to me. But marathoners are sexy no matter what they weigh in at. ;-)

What do you mean you are looking tired? You should see some of my pictures from the finish of my last marathon.
ReplyDeleteHa, giggling at the Japanese tourist moment. These are cute pictures! You don't LOOK dazed and confused-- more like triumphant!
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are great, Julianne! I laughed at the "dazed and confused" one because it's so cute!
ReplyDeletepeace signs all over the place! funny! I love it! :)
ReplyDeleteLooking great!! and looking Finished!!
ReplyDeleteGreat job!

I love it! I always try to make fun faces at the camera guys but they always catch me when I'm looking absolutely horrid.
ReplyDeleteLove the expression when you found Tiffany's and the fire fighters =).
lol i love the dazed and confused one :) those are great pics!!! i usually ignore the camera but i smiled at them this weekend - hopefully there will be some good ones!
ReplyDeleteOk so my inital CIM goal was to finish. I mean, this is my first marathon, RIGHT?! I should just enjoy it, do my best and not have any pressure. Yea that all went out the window when I actually started RACING my own times during a race, Trying to out do myself every time. I mean, my last half marathon, the last 3.1 miles is faster than my fastest 5K time. BLAHHH.... So when I started the program with Fleet Feet I wrote down 4h30m. I did my 10K time trial and my coach changed it to 4h20m. I did the cowtown half and they changed it again to 4h10 min. So since I'm all freaked out now I'm going to change it back to whatever happens happens. RIGHT? LOL that will never happen. Now I'll be sad if I get over 4:10!
ReplyDeleteI'm jealous you ran Nike, I'm jealous you got a pretty blue box from a firefighter and I'm jealous that you have completed marathons... and I still have to wait 40 days. But you look GREAT! and I'm done being jealous, just busy being proud of you now!
ReplyDeleteNice pics and congrats on your finish.
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures! The pictures people post from the races are the best because they remind me of how great it is to participate. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteThat 2nd picture is misleading! Are you running a marathon or walking the run way at some swanky event? You look so cool and calm. What did you do, TRAIN for your marathon?! LOL.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the pics.
Nice pics!!!
ReplyDeleteI looked like that after doing the half last year.. those are some hills!
